One night Nick gets invited to one of Gatsby's parties. Unlike most of the other guests that attend Nick is one of the few that actually gets invited by the host of the party. The importance to the way Gatsby and Nick meet is that it was planned carefully . Gatsby's plan from the beginning was to meet Nick in order to ask him to invite Daisy over to his house. The reason Gatsby invites Nick to the party is to build up his trust in order to ask for a big favor later. The way Gatsby starts to build this trust and friendship is by sharing things about his past, that way Nick feels like he knows Gatsby. This is why when they first meet, the first thing Gatsby tells him is that he was in the army, just like Nick.

The way Nick was invited to the party gives the reader an insight on Gatsby's real character. One can note that he is somehow a mastermind and plans his actions ahead of time in order to get a great outcome out of it. In some lesser way, this can be seen as some type of stalker action since his invitation was planned by Gatsby to lure Daisy to later meet him. So the plan goes like this, Gatsby invites Nick, he meets nick, builds trust in nick then asks him to invite Daisy to his house where Gatsby would come meet her. See, Gatsby chose the place in West Egg according to Daisy's location and knowingly that Nick was his neighbor. After realizing all this, it kind of made me feel as if Gatsby had some stalker type intentions toward Daisy.

Nick is invited to Gatsby’s party unlike others who come uninvited. Gatsby who knows that Nick and Daisy are “related” plans this whole night. Gatsby plans to get to know Nick and become great friends with him so he can meet Daisy again. When Gatsby and Nick become closer “strangers”, Gatsby asks Nick to invite Daisy to his house. Later and even through out the book, Gatsby and Nick become very good friends. I think at first Gatsby’s intentions to be friends with Nick is because of Daisy but later on this relationship becomes a great, trustful friendship.

Nick gets an invitation by Gatby himself to one of the parties. Nick at first didn't recognize Gatby and felt ashamed when he found out that the person he was talking to was Gatsby himself. Nick is at the party because that is the way Gatsby planned it. Gatsby found out that Nick was related to Daisy and found took it as an opportunity to attract Daisy close to him. This was the beginning of Gatsby's and Nick's relationship.

Nick is at Gatsby's party because Gatsby had invited him over. Nick first enters the luxurious party and finds himself surrounded strangers until he meets Jordan. As Nick and Jordan are curious about their host, they set out to find Gatsby. It is important the way that Nick and Gatsby meet because Gatsby seems to have planned everything to meet Daisy. As Gatsby hears from Jordan that Nick knows Daisy, Gatsby invites Nick over to his party so he can ask Nick to invite Daisy over to Nick’s house for tea.

Nick was one of the few people who was actually invited to Gatsby's party. Nick thinks he was invited because he moved next to Gatsby, but I belive the real reason is because Gatsby knew Daisy was realated to him, therefore saw him as someone who could be valuable. The way Gatsby and Nick meet they're talking about the War, and connecting because they've both been through it, I think Gatsby saw this as an opportunity to get close to Nick, without him knowing who he was. I think Gatsby masterminded it all.
