When Gatsby and Daisy meet for the first time in years Gatsby is extremely nervous. During the set up Daisy also becomes nervous out of the shock of seeing her long lost lover. Mostly it is a lot of awkward silences and stiffness between them while they are at Nicks house. By the time they move over to Gatsby's, the stiffness has decreased and they begin to talk more and get along. The reason that Gatsby was so nervous when he was waiting for Daisy is because he had dreamed of the moment for so long and he wanted everything to turn out perfectly as planned. He also did not want to disappoint Daisy in any way since he wanted to win her over again.

I agree with Kristeena. Obviously, Gatsby was nervous after the encounter with Daisy; he had been waiting for years to meet again. Everything had to be perfect for Daisy to fall in love with Gatsby once more. This moment was truly a dream coming true for Gatsby. Of course, there had to be some time for the lovers to feel what they felt before. So, uneasiness is always present until moments later when Gatsby and Daisy are at Gatsby's house.

During the meeting between the two, Gatsby seemed awfully nervous and not his usual self. As Gatsby planned everything ahead of time and trying to get to figure out every move, he was stunned by the presence of something he was trying to get hold of for many years since his departure to the war. In a sense the nervousness between them was caused by the sudden realization that they finally met. At the beginning it seemed as if Gatsby's planning of the "tea party" was just a mere fantasy but when he saw her he realized that she would be there to judge his every move, whether he was fit to her liking.

Gatsby who had been planning for his meeting with Daisy was anxious to meet her. When Gatsby and Daisy finally meet, Gatsby does not know what to do and stays silent. They stay staring at each other with alot of awkwardness but it was a positive awkwardness. Gatsby was so nervous becuase he finally got to see Daisy again and was so excited to show her what he has become just for her. Gatsby also tries to be in hest best behavior so that Daisy falls in love with him again.

I agree with Kristeena and Min Jae. Gatsby and Daisy’s meeting was very awkward. Gatsby was very nervous about meeting Daisy. Like Min Jae said ‘Gatsby seemed awfully nervous and not his usual self.’ Gatsby was so nervous that he even went out around Nick’s house as Daisy was coming in. Gatsby was embarrassed and he acted like a child because the moment he had waited for five years had arrived. His emotions is also portrayed and seen by the weather as it was raining when Daisy and Gatsby met. Not until they all go to Gatsby’s house did the awkwardness lessen which can also be seen by the weather as it had stopped raining. Gatsby wanted everything to be perfect and wanted to beguile Daisy with his house and lavishness because as one can see in chapter VII, Gatsby mentions that Daisy had married Tom because Gatsby was poor.

Gatsby had planned his meeting with Daisy. He wanted Nick to invite Daisy for tea at Nick's house without knowing that he was invited too; therefore, Daisy couldn’t refuse to meet him because it was a "coincidence."
In the day of the meeting, Gatsby was really nervous. He was afraid that his hope and dream might not become true, or that Daisy doesn’t love him anymore and their love from the past doesn’t exist anymore. When Gatsby and Daisy actually meet, at the beginning there was an awkward silent but later they started talking and smiling.
I think the weather meant something in Gatsby's meeting with Daisy. At the beginning it was raining when Gatsby was nervous, but once the sun came out Nick finds them talking happily.

When Gatsby first walks in through Nick’s door after Daisy goes in, the meeting turns out starting with an awkward ambiance. But after Nick leaves Daisy and Gatsby alone, they seem to reconnect and are overwhelmed with joy. Gatsby seemed to be nervous because he thought Daisy wouldn’t feel the same as she did before. He was afraid that Daisy would not accept him or his wealth that he got solely to please her.

Gatsby has spent the last many years planning and waiting for the moment in which he would meet Daisy again. All the money and luxurious parties were meant to attract her attention. His complete devotion to everything he does was so that one day he could be united to the woman he loved again. He was nervous because he wasn’t sure if Daisy still loved him as much as before, maybe she had fallen in love with Tom and that was why she hadn’t waited for Gatsby.
